Customs official
are identified with the Cuban Customs Emblem in the left sleeve of the
uniform; with the word ADUANA on the cover of the left pocket and with
a badge with the photo, name and surname, and a specific number (very
visible) of the bearer. Any individual not dressed with the
uniform and the described identifications, is not a Customs Official.
Only
import duties and services for clearance of $2.00 are paid at Customs.
Payment is made solely in the Customs Cashier. Demand the Cash Receipt,
make certain that what has been paid corresponds with the value stated
in the receipt and keep it as written evidence.
You may contribute to speed clearance and avoid nuisances if:
- Fill out correctly
the Passengers Customs Declaration
- Bring up the
medicines and other articles exempt from payment in separate packages
and independently from the rest of your luggage
- You adjust to the
$1000 pesos limit authorized to import.
- Do not bring
articles which import is prohibited.
- Do not bring
articles subject to permits from other organizations not having de
Authorization Document.
- Do not bring
excessive quantities of the same article, which could be considered of
commercial purposes.
- Inform
the Customs Inspector if you travel with shared luggage (luggage of
more than one passenger united in one or several packages).
